Year-Long Bouldering League | Join in!

This year, we’re taking our Boulder Competitions more seriously! Introducing the Year-Long Bouldering League here at White Spider:

How it works:

Now, a year is a long time, so we’ve split this competition into 3 separate rounds, each including 4 mini-comps (1 per month). The 4th mini-comp will always be a one night only event:

Round 1:

10th January – 5th February
7th February – 5th March
7th March – 2nd April
4th April – ONE NIGHT ONLY

Round 2:

2nd May – 4th June
6th June – 2nd July
4th July – 30th July
1st August – ONE NIGHT ONLY

Round 3:

5th September – 1st October
3rd October – 5th November
7th November – 3rd December
5th December – ONE NIGHT ONLY

Scoring:

Each round, your best 3 (out of a possible 4) scores from the mini-comps will be counted towards your final score for the round. This final score for the round will then contribute towards your score for the year-long league!

Scores can be tracked via paper scorecards from reception, as normal. These scorecards are free, so grab as many as you need! Final scores for each mini-comp must be submitted digitally via the QR code on the scorecard. We will not be collecting paper scorecards for counting.

Prizes:

Now, onto the good stuff! Each month, there will be a raffle that’ll include everyone who submits a score for the mini-comp (you have to be in it to win it!). Each round, there’ll be prizes for those climbers who came 1st in their category (see below for more info on these), and finally, we’ll have prizes at the end of the Year-Long League for those climbers who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category!

Will you get involved?

This competition is open to anyone and everyone! If you’re brand new to climbing, have been climbing your whole life or just dabble now and again – there’ll be tons for you to climb in each mini-comp and round! Simply grab a scorecard from reception to get involved!
