It has been fantastic to see the overwhelming positive response to our announcement on the 12th June and great to see so many of you are keen to return.
Following the government announcement today ,23rd June, it looks like we have a slightly longer wait on our hands until we can welcome you all back to our climbing walls. The government has said it will be looking at re-opening final aspects of the economy, including gyms, in the coming weeks.
Despite this we have not been wasting time and preparations to make sure we can open ‘Covid Secure’ are well under way.
Most of the changes will be quite familiar to you all now including, floor markings to help with social distancing, maximum capacity numbers, screens to protect reception staff and multiple hand sanitising stations in convenient locations throughout the climbing wall.
Currently we do not anticipate needing to have a pre-booking system for our climbing walls. However, in the initial days of opening we will be looking at ways to spread the flow of people to reduce the rush and any queueing time.
We will also be keeping our setting programme running meaning there will be new routes to climb on opening in addition to ones that were freshly set and have been lying dormant.
Be sure to keep up with the latest information here on our blog or our social media channels.
