If you’ve climbed elsewhere before, and consider yourself competent enough to climb unsupervised, this is the page for you! Follow the steps below to prepare for your visit:

Not experienced yet? Click here

STEP 1 – Register

To climb at Green Spider, you first need to fill out a registration form. As an experienced adult climber, you’ll need to fill out the Unsupervised Registration for yourself.

On your first visit to the Centre, we will give you a very quick safety test based on your answers to the questions in the registration form. This usually takes about 2 or 3 minutes. Once you’ve passed the test, we will assign you a Proficiency which dictates which parts of the Centre you can use.

STEP 2 – Supervision Rules

Once you have passed the necessary safety tests and given a proficiency, you can supervise novice climbers.

At Green Spider, we allow experienced climbers to supervise 2 novices per day.

When you arrive at the Centre, we will check you in and ask you, as the supervisor, to sign in any novices you are looking after. You will be responsible for, and stay with, your novice climbers for the entirety of your visit.

They will need to do a Novice Registration Form before climbing here
